Windsor, UK - 13th November 2019 - MyPlus, provider of one of the UK’s leading online careers advisory services for disabled students, MyPlus Students’ Club, has launched the MyPlus Universities’ Club to help build disability confidence on campus.
The MyPlus Universities’ Club is a membership forum which will enable Universities to plan, support and elevate career progression for disabled students during their time at university and provide members with the knowledge, confidence and expertise needed to empower disabled students to improve employment outcomes.
Helen Cooke Founder and Director of MyPlus said “ In line with the Office for Students (OfS) approach into improving equality of opportunity at university and beyond for disabled students, we are pleased to launch a new service aimed at progressing disability confidence on campus. MyPlus Universities’ Club (MPUC) is aimed at university staff who support the 14% of disabled students when applying for jobs, internships and placements and who want to build an understanding of the challenges facing them in relation to gaining employment and to provide guidance.”
The MyPlus Universities’ Club provides training, resources, insights and expertise to enable Universities to provide disabled students with the specialist careers advise they require to manage their disability during the recruitment process, gain the adjustments and support they require and demonstrate their full potential. A suite of options are available to suit the University’s budget, or the University can take advantage of a discounted annual membership which enables them to access all products and services within a twelve-month period.
