This year the MyPlus Annual Reception and Disability Progress Awards which were due to be hosted by EY in Central London on the evening of the 30th of June took a different guise due to the Corona Virus situation.
The event was replaced by a Webinar which provided an opportunity for our Recruiters’ Club and Universities’ Club members to hear all the latest news and developments from MyPlus. Hosted and presented by MyPlus CEO and Founder Helen Cooke and Emma Knox, MyPlus University Marketing and Partnerships Manager, our members were invited to join us for a ‘Virtual Tea Party’ Webinar on the afternoon of the 30th June 2020 at 4pm.
Helen kicked off by introducing some new offerings from MyPlus which included the Recruiters’ Club ‘Introductory’ level which was recently launched. Further details of which can be found on our membership packages page and our news page. Plus, the launch of the MyPlus Consulting ‘6 Steps to Disability Confidence’ Service offerings. Further details of which can be found on our services page and our news page.
Recruiters’ Club members were reminded of the Student Recruitment and Student Marketing Toolkits which are available to Platinum and Gold members of the Recruiters’ Club. Helen also talked about our Students’ Club Win a Day Competition, where every month a student who has signed up to the Students’ club is selected to win a work experience day at one of our participating Recruiters’ Club organisations.
This was followed by a mention from Helen of the Working in Partnership logos which are available to all our members. They are a great way of demonstrating your commitment to disability to both internal and external stakeholders. Also available to both our Recruiters’ Club and Universities’ Club members are the Recruiters’ Club events, all of which are currently being run as Webinars and are available to view on the MyPlus website events calendar page.
Helen also updated our listeners on how we are helping students with disabilities from an employability perspective with our free student Webinars, which cover different aspects of disability and employment / recruitment. Details of the 4 forthcoming Webinars are on the Students’ Club events page. In addition, she highlighted our student careers Insight events, details of which are on the individual event websites: ‘Explore the Law’, ‘Investing in Talent’. Our new Consulting focused Insight event and Leeds ‘Explore the Law’, will have details available on our Students’ Club website event pages in the coming months.
Emma Knox, the MyPlus University Marketing and Partnerships Manager welcomed the Universities’ Club members who have joined since MyPlus launched the club in December 2019 and provided an update on how we are working with Universities. She mentioned that all the resources and events for Universities’ Club members are available to view on the Universities’ Club page.
We would like to thank EY who would have been hosting this event and look forwarded to holding a magical Annual Reception and Disability Awards at their offices in London for 2021!
