Windsor, UK - 22nd March 2021 MyPlus has been awarded Disability Confident Leadership status by the Department of Work and Pensions as part of the UK Governments Disability Confident scheme.
Disability Confident is a UK government scheme designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people and those with health conditions. Level 3, the highest level of the scheme is achieved through independent validation of a company’s self-assessment and a commitment to step up and become a leader by acting as champions of Disability Confident, encouraging other businesses to become Disability Confident and demonstrating to disabled people that they are leading the way.
Grant Neems, Head of Employer Services at Ingeus who completed the MyPlus validation, said; “I must say how impressed I am by the activity and commitment MyPlus shows towards recruiting, employing and supporting people with disabilities. The forward thinking and innovation applied to systems and processes as well as a dedicated culture of awareness and support is a great example to all employers. This is one of the best self-assessments I have seen”.
Since 2006 MyPlus has worked with organisations to provide them with the expertise to be disability confident in their strategy, their processes and their engagement with disabled individuals. As a ‘Disability Confident Leader’ MyPlus are committed to helping employers and Universities progress their status by demonstrating how MyPlus services can be used to meet most of the commitments and criteria for the three levels of the Government’s Disability Confident Scheme.
MyPlus CEO and Founder Helen Cooke, said; “As a company our business is all about helping employers become disability confident in the attraction, recruitment and development of individuals with disabilities, so we are delighted to receive this ‘Leadership’ status in recognition of how we operate and our ability to help others on their journey to Disability Confident”.
