The MyPlus Students’ Club 'Win a Day' campaign raises awareness of the value of the Students’ Club website and encourages students and recent graduates to become MyPlus Students’ Club members. At the end of every month, one new member is selected to spend a day with a participating organisation, demonstrating the unrivaled access members get to organisations who are disability confident in their recruitment and hiring practices.
Organisations who are currently participating in this campaign are Baker McKenzie, Enterprise Rent A Car, J P Morgan, Herbert Smith Freehills, BP, Morgan Stanley, Norton Rose Fulbright, Macfarlanes, Allen & Overy and Accenture.
The Students’ Club website provides valuable advice and support to disabled students when they are applying for jobs. To enter the ‘Win a Day’ campaign students need to sign up for membership of the Students’ Club and tick the box to enter.
In the last few months four winners have attended their MyPlus Students’ Club ‘Win A Day’. Will More from Exeter University, spent his day with J.P. Morgan, this is what Will had to say about his day "My day was absolutely fantastic, the team did such a good job at ensuring there were many thought-provoking people to speak to who were also incredibly friendly and welcoming”.
Callum Owen-Vallentin from Warwick Business School, spent his day at Norton Rose Fulbright. Callum said "The day was fantastic as it not only gave me more experience in law, it also gave me valuable insight into what daily life is like for a solicitor at NRF, which will help with my future applications."
William Dudley from Cardiff University, chose UBS, and had a really insightful day: "It has made me much more confident that I could potentially become a valuable asset in the workplace." Click here to read more about William’s day.
Kirsty Guilfoyle a law graduate from Sheffield Hallam University spent her day with Herbert Smith Freehills, this is how she describes her experience: "It's been a jam packed AMAZING day. Everyone was so accomodating and made the effort to come and talk to me. I learned so much about pensions but also the culture of HSF and the types of reasonable adjustments there".
Our latest winner Mihaela Duta from Bath University will spend her day with Morgan Stanley in April. Thank you to all the organisations who host our winners, and we are thrilled to welcome Allen & Overy and Accenture who are the newest participating organisations.
