Discover the power of different: Understanding how neurodiversity brings business benefits

Neurodiversity is an umbrella term for a set of hidden disabilities such as autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Individuals with a neurodiverse condition bring different perspectives and a different skill set to the workplace which can, and do, make a positive difference to the organisation.

With an ever-increasing number of students with neurodiverse conditions going to university and applying for graduate jobs, it is crucial that employers build their understanding about this subject. And if you are to benefit from the unique skills and strengths and these individuals have, you must also be able to provide the appropriate support both during the recruitment process and in the workplace.

MyPlus were joined by Daniel Aherne from Adjust, who are experts in providing employers with a clear and practical understanding of Neurodiversity, including autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. Daniel drew on his expertise to build delegate’s understanding about neurodiversity, the benefits of a neurodiverse workforce and how to ensure that recruitment practices are inclusive and supportive.

We were also joined by individuals who shared their experiences of living with a neurodiverse condition and how they manage this in the workplace.
