MyPlus Recruiters' Club

Be disability inclusive in employment

Progressive employers recognise that more than 15% of students have a disability or long-term health condition. This has significant implications for your recruitment strategy, from how you attract and select candidates, through to assessment and on-boarding.

It’s not just a question of being fair and inclusive; you could be missing out on a rich pool of talent.

We support employers as they seek to understand and address issues surrounding disability within their organisation. Much of what we do focuses on helping employers to realise new possibilities through the recruitment and development of talented individuals with disabilities, with a particular focus on students and graduates.

Confidence in early years employment will also benefit your existing employees who have a disability or become disabled during their career. 83% of people acquire a disability as opposed to being born with it. The average age of acquiring a disability is 45.
